The Best Vapes to Travel With This Summer

Posted by Ed Swain on

Summer is almost here and with that comes everyone’s trips abroad. Whether you’re going away for a long weekend or are off for a two week stint - you’ll probably want to take your vape with you. If you’re not sure which one to take or are looking for a new kit to accompany you on your trip (we don’t blame you) Vape Superstore have got you covered. It doesn’t matter if you’re only taking hand luggage or have 20 kilos to spare, are off to a rugged destination or somewhere 5 star, we’ve got a recommendation for you.

We all love a pod kit. They’re small, portable, lightweight and quick to recharge. They’re also perfect for nic salts meaning you need less puffs to get a quick fix and they’re super discreet to use. Either of these options are great if you’re low on space, read: going away for a weekend with carry on only.

First in line is the lightest kit in the lineup, the Mico pod kit from vaping giant SMOK. Small enough to squeeze in the front pocket of your jeans and coming in a huge variety of colours, the Mico is perfect for when you’re travelling light. There’s also a lanyard loop on the side, meaning you can keep it hanging around your neck for easier access. It’s button free (meaning no accidental misfires) - just inhale to vape. There are also two pod options depending on how you like to vape - a 0.8ohm for a restricted draw and a 1.0ohm for a mouth to lung inhale. Pair this one with a nic salt or high PG liquid - whatever suits your preferences. On top of all that the 700mAh battery should see you through a day of vaping meaning you can leave early morning for sightseeing and recharge when you get back to the hotel.

VooPoo Drag Nano

Next up on the list is the VooPoo Drag Nano. Even smaller than the SMOK Mico, this pod mod is one for the mouth to lung vapers who appreciate good looks in their kit. With a Smart Indicator light to let you know when your new pod is saturated and ready to vape, you can’t really go wrong. It’s another lightweight option thanks to its zinc and aluminium alloy construction and has the VooPoo signature resin panel on the side. Each pod can hold 1ml of liquid, which will still last you a while as the coil is a 1.8ohm resistance for a tight mouth to lung inhale making it particularly well suited to nic salts. The battery is a pretty hefty 750mAh, meaning the Nano is a great all day vape. This one also has a lanyard loop - so when it comes down to choosing between the two pod kits on the list, you really just need to decide based on looks and how restricted you like your inhale to be.

Our personal pick for a week away is generally a vape pen. They hold plenty of charge, can be used for mouth to lung vaping or Sub Ohm depending on your coil choice and the flavour is always great. We’ve got another two options here, which one you’ll be best suited to depends on your vaping style and how much battery you think you’ll need.

Aspire Tigon

One of the most versatile kits on the list as well as being super easy to maintain while you’re away is the Aspire Tigon. It has two of everything - two drip tip styles, two airflow settings and two coil resistances (a 0.4ohm and 1.2ohm). What this means is you get a complete setup for mouth to lung vaping and Sub Ohm vaping all in one kit. The top cap is a leak-proof design (no sticky fingers or bags when you transport it), just lift and push back the top cap to expose the fill port. When you change the coil there’s a spring loaded seal in the tank to stop any liquid dripping out. So, if your coil does burn out while you’re away, you can change it on a full tank with no waste and no mess. Battery life will last you for hours, it’s got 1800mAh of power in there and the Tigon has 2A quick charge so when you do get low on power, it won’t take long to top it back up.

SMOK Stick V9

The next in line in the SMOK Stick range, the V9 is a great option for taking away with you if you’re a Sub Ohm vaper. An immense 3000mAh battery will give you more vaping time than you’ll know what to do with and the 0.15ohm coils paired with the kit will give you great flavour and plenty of clouds. It’s another internal battery meaning you can just plug in with a micro-USB cable to recharge. It comes complete with a 2ml tank with the signature SMOK locking system - just press the button and swivel to open. Despite all the power and functionality, the Stick V9 is still small enough to carry without any hassle, measuring in top to bottom at 143mm tall.

Sometimes smaller kits just won’t cut it, especially if you’re a seasoned vaper. If you want something with more power, more functionality and a whole lot more battery there’s one obvious choice for an advanced kit as far as we’re concerned.

Geek Vape Aegis Solo Kit

If you’re going somewhere more remote or you just want something more powerful and resilient, the Geek Vape Aegis Solo is the one for you. This kit is made for adventurous vapers - it’s waterproof, dust proof and constructed from drop proof materials too meaning no cracks or chips for clumsy travellers. It’s a single cell mod meaning it’s still modest enough in size to be convenient to take away and you can fire at up to 100 watts on a single 18650. Charge all your batteries up before you go and you’ll be able to last days without needing to plug in. Paired with the Cerberus Sub Ohm tank - complete with top fill and a 0.3ohm coil - you’ll be set for an easy to use and super satisfying vape for the duration of your trip.

No matter which you go for, the five kits on the list all get the Vape Superstore seal of approval for your summer getaway. Make sure to pack your powerbank to keep your kit charged up while you’re away and take plenty of e-liquid with you - whether that’sshortfills ornic salts. If you’re still undecided which one is perfect for you you can always get in touch with our customer support team who can help you out with a personal recommendation.
