Short Fill E Liquids

Short Fill e-liquids are 0mg juices supplied in larger bottles, including 60ml and 100ml liquid bottles but are only filled to 80% capacity, hence short fill, to allow you to add a nicotine shot (or two) to boost to your desired nic strength. Larger bottles of e-liquid are particularly advantageous to have for Sub Ohm vapers with greedy tanks that get through a lot more juice. Most vapers will add a single 10ml nicotine shot per every 50ml of e-juice to bring the nicotine level to 3mg. Once the nicotine shot has been added to your short fill e-liquid simply shake (for at least a few minutes) and vape. Alternatively, if you vape purely for the joy of it and don’t need nicotine - you can use the short fill bottles as a cost efficient way to get more juice for your buck.

At Vape Superstore with every Short Fill liquid you purchase you will receive a free nicotine booster shot. Not only do these Short Fill "Shake and Vape" Liquids come in a wide range of delicious flavours, they are also great value for money. Most brands will provide this option, particularly when it comes to their most popular flavours. Check out the likes of Dinner Lady with their Lemon Tart 50ml short fill or Attitude Vapes as they carry all their flavours in this format. From across the pond, cult classic Element do the same for theirs, going all the way up to 100ml bottle capacity for when there’s a liquid you really can’t get enough of.

How to mix your liquid

Start by removing the cap and popping the pipette off the bottle. Then, squeeze all the nicotine into your bottle of short fill liquid. Replace the nozzle and lid, then you’ll need to shake the liquid thoroughly to make sure the nicotine is properly mixed through. Wait a few minutes for the liquid to settle and, once there are no bubbles, you can fill your tank and start vaping. It’s a good idea to give the bottle a gentle shake now and again to make sure nothing has settled or separated.

Why short fills and not pre-mixed?

Due to TPD (tobacco products directive), new regulations have meant manufacturers can now no longer sell e-liquid with nicotine in it in bottles larger than 10ml. (It’s also the reason why vape tanks can now only be 2ml). To get around this and continue giving vapers the best value for money, short fills were invented. Now you can get a variety of sizes with spare room in the top to fill with a 10ml nic shot (or two) to mix your liquid up to your desired strength.

How can I make it stronger than 3mg?

You just need to adjust the ratio accordingly. For example, if you have a 60ml bottle capacity, you’ll need to mix 40ml of nicotine free juice with two 10ml bottles of nicotine. Bear in mind that as nicotine is essentially flavourless, this will dilute the flavour profile of your juice. To help balance this out, you can try steeping your juice by letting it breathe for a while and keeping it in a cool dark place for about a week to intensify.
