We found that Londoners suffer the most from the Sunday Scaries, with 14,341 monthly searches per 100,000 people. Manchester closely followed in second, with 14,324 monthly searches per 100,000 people, followed by Wakefield, with 13,773.

How are different cities dealing with the Sunday Scaries?

Brits are combating the Sunday Scaries in different ways, with some looking for a new job, in the hopes of reducing stress levels, whilst others are forward planning to help make their lives easier surrounding their working hours.

We found that Londoners are battling the Sunday Scaries by job hunting the most, making searches for terms such as ‘jobs near me’, ‘resignation letter’ and ‘cover letter examples’ the most. Birmingham followed in second for job hunters, with Manchester ranking in third.

Those living in Manchester deal with the Sunday Scaries the most by being forward planners, making searches such as ‘smarter goals’, ‘meal prep’ and ‘annual train ticket’ the most.

  2. Bristol - 834 monthly searches per 100,000 people
  3. London - 817 monthly searches per 100,000 people
  4. Brighton - 678 monthly searches per 100,000 people

What are the top 5 cities for ‘Little Treaters’?

We discovered that Mancunians also know how to treat themselves, making the highest number of searches for treats such as ‘cheap last minute holidays’, ‘massage near me’ and ‘takeaway near me’. Those living in Doncaster and Wakefield are also partial to a treat or two to help battle the Sunday Scaries.

People living in Wakefield use self-care to fight off the Sunday Scaries, making searches such as ‘affirmations’, ‘skin care routine’ and ‘relaxing music’ the most. This method also particularly appeals to Bristol residents as well as Liverpudlians.

Social media data for ‘#SundayScaries’ and search data for ‘Sunday Scaries’ collected and accurate as of Feb 2024.
