Changes to how you earn Vape Superstore Rewards points

By:

TL;DR

From 2 November 2026, you'll earn Vape Superstore Rewards points on a product's price before Vaping Products Duty (VPD), so the duty and the VAT on it earn no points. This affects e-liquids, shortfills, nicotine shots and prefilled pods. Hardware, accessories and nicotine pouches still earn points on their full price. Your earning rate (Silver 5%, Gold 6%, Platinum 7%), your saved points (200 points = £1) and your tier all stay the same. Everything is worked out automatically, so you don't need to do anything.

From 2nd November 2026, we're making a few small changes to how you earn points with Vape Superstore Rewards.

You'll continue to earn points at the same rate, but Vaping Products Duty (VPD) and the VAT charged on that duty will no longer count towards the amount used to calculate your Rewards points.

Your existing points aren't being reduced or taken away.

Points are worked out on the product value before VPD and the VAT charged on that duty.

What to know

  • Your existing Rewards points keep their current value
  • 200 points still gives you £1 to spend
  • Silver members still earn 5% back
  • Gold members still earn 6% back
  • Platinum members still earn 7% back
  • Gold and Platinum tier thresholds aren't changing
  • VPD and the VAT charged on it won't earn Rewards points
  • Products not affected by VPD will continue to earn points on their full eligible value

Why we're making this change

Vaping Products Duty starts on 1 October 2026.

The duty is charged at £2.20 per 10ml of vaping liquid, whether or not the liquid contains nicotine.

VAT is also charged on the duty. This means £2.20 of VPD represents £2.64 including VAT for every 10ml of vaping liquid.

The government lets retailers keep selling stock made or imported before 1 October 2026 until 31 March 2027. We'll keep selling our pre-duty stock at its original price while it lasts, and duty-paid stock will replace it gradually as each product sells through. Pre-duty stock has no VPD in its price, so it still earns points on the full price.

From 2nd November, the VPD included in affected products and the VAT charged on that duty won't count towards the amount used to calculate your Vape Superstore Rewards points.

You'll still earn points on every affected product but based on its price before duty.

How earning points works from 2nd November 2026

Your Rewards earning rates aren't changing.

Silver

5% back. 10 points for every eligible £1 spent.

Gold

6% back. 12 points for every eligible £1 spent.

Platinum

7% back. 14 points for every eligible £1 spent.

The only change is which part of an affected product's price counts towards earning points.

Where VPD is included in the price, we'll remove the VPD and the VAT charged on it before calculating your Rewards points.

Everything is calculated automatically. You won't need to work anything out yourself.

What does this look like?

Here are two simple examples showing how points would be calculated.

Product Example product price before VPD Example price including VPD and VAT Silver Gold Platinum
10ml e-liquid £4.00 £6.64 40 points (20p) 48 points (24p) 56 points (28p)
50ml shortfill £12.00 £25.20 120 points (60p) 144 points (72p) 168 points (84p)

For example, if a 10ml e-liquid has an eligible product value of £4 before the new duty is added, VPD is £2.20 and VAT on that duty is 44p.

That gives an example final price of £6.64.

A Silver member would still earn 10 points per eligible £1, so their points would be calculated using the £4 eligible product value:

£4 × 10 points = 40 points

The additional £2.64 relating to VPD and the VAT on that duty wouldn't earn Rewards points.

These prices are illustrative and are used only to show how Vape Superstore Rewards points are calculated. Actual product prices may differ.

Which products are affected?

VPD applies to all vaping liquid, so the change depends on the products you're buying.

E-liquids

VPD applies to vaping liquids whether or not they contain nicotine.

For affected e-liquids, your Rewards points will be calculated using the eligible product value after the VPD and VAT charged on that duty have been removed.

This includes products such as:

  • 10ml e-liquids
  • Shortfills
  • Longfills
  • Nicotine shots
  • Other vaping liquids that fall within the scope of VPD

Prefilled pods and kits supplied with e-liquid

VPD applies to the vaping liquid contained within prefilled pods and similar products.

You'll still earn Rewards points on the eligible value of the product. The VPD attributable to the included vaping liquid, along with the VAT charged on that duty, won't count towards your points.

Vape hardware and accessories

VPD isn't charged on vape hardware that contains no vaping liquid.

These products continue to earn Rewards points on their full eligible product value:

  • Vape kits supplied without vaping liquid
  • Coils
  • Empty refillable pods
  • Tanks
  • Batteries
  • Chargers
  • Other hardware and accessories

Nicotine pouches

Vaping Products Duty doesn't apply to nicotine pouches.

You'll therefore continue to earn Vape Superstore Rewards points on their full eligible product value.

If you mainly buy hardware, accessories or nicotine pouches, VPD itself won't reduce the amount used to calculate your Rewards points.

What happens to my Rewards tier?

The thresholds shown in the Vape Superstore Rewards Club aren't changing:

  • Silver: From 0 points
  • Gold: From 7,500 points
  • Platinum: From 10,000 points

Every qualifying point you’ve already earned before 2nd November 2026 will remain in your account.

Your existing points keep their value

Nothing you've already earned is being reduced because of VPD.

Your existing Rewards balance will keep its current value:

200 points = £1

So if you have 2,000 points, they're still worth £10 in Vape Superstore Rewards.

The new calculation only changes how points are earned on affected purchases from 2 November onwards.

It won't reduce points you've already collected.

When do my Rewards points expire?

Since 1 December 2025, Rewards points expire if your account is inactive for 12 consecutive months.

Earning or redeeming points keeps your balance active and restarts the 12-month period.

Where possible, we'll email you before your points expire, unless you've unsubscribed from the relevant communications.

What's staying the same?

We're keeping the value of your existing points and the cashback percentage for each Rewards tier. These parts of the scheme also stay in place:

  • 200 points = £1
  • 400 points when you join, worth £2
  • 500 birthday points for Silver members, worth £2.50
  • 800 birthday points for Gold members, worth £4
  • 1,000 birthday points for Platinum members, worth £5
  • 2x points days for Silver members
  • 3x points days for Gold members
  • 4x points days for Platinum members
  • 1,000 points for every qualifying friend you refer, worth £5
  • £5 off a first order of £20 or more for a referred friend
  • Access to member special offers
  • Points expire after 12 consecutive months of account inactivity, as they have since 1 December 2025

Where bonus-points events apply to products affected by VPD, the multiplier would be applied to the eligible product value after VPD and the VAT charged on it have been removed.

Refer your friends

Our referral programme gives the person you refer £5 off their first qualifying order of £20 or more.

When they place a qualifying order, you’ll receive 1,000 Rewards points, worth £5, as a thank you.

If the referred customer’s basket includes products with Vaping Products Duty, their £5 referral discount can only be used against the product value, not the duty amount.

For example, if part of their basket includes Vaping Products Duty, the checkout will only apply the referral discount to the amount that is eligible for discount.

Any Vaping Products Duty included in the basket cannot be covered by the referral discount.

Does the way I spend my Rewards points change?

Your Rewards points will keep the same value, and you can continue using them through your Vape Superstore account.

The main change is that Rewards discounts may not always apply to the full price of every product in your basket.

For products that include Vaping Products Duty, Rewards can be redeemed against the product value, but not against the duty amount.

For example:

  • Product price: £6.64
  • Vaping Products Duty included in the price: £2.64
  • Amount eligible for Rewards redemption: £4.00

So if you buy 2 of these products, the maximum Rewards discount available against those products would be £8.00.

If your basket also includes products that do not include Vaping Products Duty, your Rewards points can still be redeemed against those products as normal.

For example:

  • 2 duty-paid products at £6.64 each, with £4.00 eligible per product = £8.00 eligible for Rewards redemption
  • 1 vape kit at £14.99, with no Vaping Products Duty = £14.99 eligible for Rewards redemption

In this example, the total amount eligible for Rewards redemption would be £22.99.

Any points you do not use will stay in your account for next time.

What will I see at checkout?

Sign in to your Vape Superstore account before you check out.

The checkout will look at your points balance and the products in your basket, then show the Rewards discounts available for that order.

The Rewards discounts shown will depend on:

  • your available points balance
  • the products in your basket
  • how much of your basket is eligible for Rewards redemption

You do not need to calculate anything yourself. Simply choose from the Rewards discounts shown at checkout.

If a larger reward is not shown, it may be because part of your basket includes Vaping Products Duty, which cannot be covered using Rewards points.

FAQ's

No. The Rewards calculation will be handled automatically.

Where VPD applies, we'll calculate your points using the eligible product value after the duty and the VAT charged on that duty have been removed.

For example, if an affected 10ml bottle has an eligible product value of £4 and an example final price of £6.64 after VPD and VAT are added, your Rewards points would be calculated on the £4 eligible value rather than £6.64.

Only if your basket includes products that carry Vaping Products Duty (VPD). For those products, you can only redeem points against the price before duty is added.

For example, if you buy 2 products at £6.64 each, and each one is £4.00 before duty, the most you can redeem against them is £8.00.

If there are no VPD products in your basket, nothing changes and you can redeem your points against the full basket value.

Vaping Products Duty begins on 1 October 2026.
